Keys for Kids is a piano method developed by a piano teacher from Ukraine Inga Magid. It combines learning piano with general music development, as well as sight reading, transposition, and harmonization. Parents are actively involved during the lessons and at home practice, thus they can learn with their children and help them during their study. Since the method is split into 4 beginning levels, children can start at a different age (from 3.5 to 12) and learn at an age appropriate pace. For more information about each level please visit www.keys-for-kids.com
Each group is limited to 6 students.

About

Having studied music both here and abroad (I came to the United States in 1999), I have a unique perspective on music education and choose the best practices in both approaches to create a comprehensive (and engaging!) curriculum for my students. I believe that every child is unique and thus requires a unique curriculum to satisfy his or her needs for growing musically. That's why you might notice piano books from different piano methods in my students' repertoire.

I also believe that children's parents and caregivers play an important role in their musical development (And many of them would like to participate in a music class and learn to play piano, too!) That is why I offer Music Together classes for the youngest children (as young as newborns!) and teach a group piano method (Keys for Kids®) where parents and children learn to play piano together.

Of course, there comes a time when individual classes are the best route for learning to play. That's why I offer private piano instruction for deeper learning of piano technique and music understanding in general.
